Back in Brooklyn, after a 4-day drive home from our sheltering-in-place in Montana, and after 6 months of Broadway being closed and me not having a single performance, I looked up the year of the Spanish Flu and what happened on Broadway then. There were news stories of Sarah Bernhardt heading back to France, and notices of Vaudeville theatres closing, warning actors and managers to keep them closed for safety. The similarity was staggering. This piece is my attempt to merge the playful joy of being back in NYC and the idea that everything happens over and over and this too shall pass.
